Hospital lounge for hospitalization patients
Waiting areas in hospitals are generally very boring. But ideally you don't spend to much time there anyway.
For patients waiting to be assigned to a ward however, my understanding is that these patients can be waiting for quite some time.
Then I propose a separate "waiting lounge" for them. Think of it as a lounge like they have on airports. Comfy chairs, a cafeteria, books, streaming services, magazines. Perhaps even bedrooms if the stay is very long or in the night.
For childrens' hospitals obviously the interior can be different. Parents are still there and should have their needs fulfilled but add play areas, toys, video games etc. and you would have a hard time getting the kids to leave :)
