Develop Stockholm's environmental program

Ideas and suggestions

Tie carbon dioxide into the city's plantations and on roofs

Perhaps this is already done, but it is an idea to choose what to plant in Stockholm's decorative plants based on the type of plants that bind most carbon dioxide. Placing sedum roofs on new buildings also helps to bind carbon dioxide.

Build-ons from this proposal

  • Take advantage of the tasks

The city's roof as the element before suggested should be better used. Partly for Sedum roofs and bee cups that have been proposed, but also for solar panels. Should the law be better used. There is also a roof office that binds NOX particles and other dirt and has a cleaning effect, which also contributes to more vegetation on the roof. The carbon dioxide binding is admittedly limited, but with greater knowledge and focus on the area, one can easily adapt which roofs that may be invested in solar cells, which are to have hotels and which ones should have vegetation and, in particular, which vegetation. This also includes urban cultivation, which the ceilings can also be used for. That so many surfaces are just empty is a big waste. There are also many other advantages that come with these proposals that more oases are created for biodiversity, stormwater collection, some insulating effect in the winter and cooling in the summer etc..
