Ideation

The Dinner Dome

The Dinner Dome is an immersive and original space built for social events, such as mealtimes,
created to jointly experience a stimulating scenography and / or choreography.

The idea is to create a space shaped like a dome - building on the concept of a dome shaped Imax theater that triggers memories, increases appetite and creates stronger social bonds among its users.

The domain answers to our challenge and goal of cultural inclusion by giving the elderly, the staff and relatives the opportunity to create and share their own shared in-house culture.

With its extensive library of sets, sound- and scenic effects, you can enter the Italian restaurant on a piazza in Rome, a picnic in a park during a Swedish summer night, a Caribbean boat cruise, or invoke childhood memories. This mix of virtual reality technology, the latest sound system and a click machine can bring its audience and participants to any place in time and space.

Empower diversity of meals, order in groups

It's interesting to note that there is potential to improve the choice in meals in hospital/care surroundings. These locations can have a lot of residents, who need food. It's a great opportunity because the cultural diversity of the residents is often not represented in the food offer.

On the other hand, there are numerous suppliers who would like the business : local restaurants, caterers, home cooks (Gastronaut-style) etc.

Our suggestion is to list the possibilities offered by local suppliers that are "referenced" by the facility, in order to enable the residents to order food that will be delivered.

There are numerous possibilities, by engaging partnerships with local restaurants, caterers or home cooks.

The solution that we could suggest is for Södersjukhuset to identify a small number of suppliers; list the offers on pool.farm (collaborative orders); and, using pool.farm, organise group orders delivered at pre-agreed times.

This can also be the basis for other services such as daily or weekly orders from shops or maybe a farm.

Please be in touch if you want to elaborate!
