Improving social documentation for elderly care?
Stureby sjukhem Nursing home, has 197 residents of which 160 have dementia. The assistant nurses struggle with the mandatory social documentation.
Therefore we wonder how we can create trustworthy, adequate and user-friendly ways for social documentation within nursery homes that promotes daily care and social interaction between care-giver and care-taker.

Social Documentation
- Social documentation (SD) done in ParaSol
SD should fulfill multiple purposes:
- To ensure quality care and professional practices are followed
- For caregivers as an important tool for individual healthcare planning
- For the relatives to be able to stay informed about the healthcare given to the resident
The main challenges is:
How do we make social documentation more accessible and integrated into the daily routine of the caregiver (1), and reflect their meaningful work (2)?

Mobile application with resident profiles
Building a 'facebook' like profile to upload social documentation on, visualised in a mobile application. This profile will be used to document about a resident. The relative of the resident will be able to access the application and get updates on the wellbeing of the resident. The profile will also be used to update the relatives on activities in the nursing home, which they can attend. Notifications about attendance will be done through the application.

Voice to text
Using a voice to text converter to save time to social document. It will be less time consuming for caregivers. If someone has language problems they can use e.g. google translate's voice function to talk in english and convert the text to Swedish.
