See your idea become a reality!
CraftAcademy will organize 2 hackathons during August and September (in Stockholm and in Gothenburg) where one or more ideas in the challenge are being built. The idea is to gather experienced and junior developers as well as the idea creators during a weekend and in workshop formats create a prototyo or a Proof of Concept which can then be presented to decision makers, potential customers or users. It is a unique opportunity to go through the process of how an idea turns into a real product.
Social cooling with app!
Scan what you put into the fridge, with an app on your phone. Either you read the barcode and hit a database, or you take a photo of the vegetable and the app uses image recognition to give a couple of options on what it can be.
For those things with packaging and best-before dates you can also scan it, and for fresh products without the best before date you can have a database where you have an estimated best-before time for different goods.
Then you get notifications in the mobile when things start to approach their best before date. And get suggestions on what you can cook what should go out with what you have at home. Or maybe tips on what you can supplement with to cook something. Or tips on how to combine what you have in your fridge with that of your buddy living nearby.
Collaborative purchase lists in the neighbourhood
A lot of waste of time, money and CO2 happens when buying food. Imagine meeting your neighbour in a shop : it's a wasted opportunity to collaborate. You could have communicated that you were going there, which would have reduced the wasted costs associated with getting the food. This reduces the costs for food that is a bit hard to get (direct from farmer etc).

Exchanging fresh foods between restaurants
If a restaurant has things that are about to go out, but they do not have plans to consume, they can post information about them on the platform.
Since any other restaurant can go onto the platform and buy those products and cookies before they are bad and need to be disposed of.
